Chunko is becoming quite the smart guy.
He's really listening to us and while he's continuing to refuse to speak too much, we know he gets what we're saying.
If we tell him to throw something away, he walks it over to the trashcan, throws it in and closes the lid... And very rarely does he re-open it to find something to eat.
He waves bye-bye and sometimes blows kisses... but only after the person has driven out of sight and no one else is waving.
He gives kisses!!! Sweet, little, slobbery kisses. He's so lovey!
If we ask him where his binky is, he'll go find one and put it in. If we ask him where his bruthy is, he'll go running to him. He's really listening!
Chunko said "More" to our sitter twice today. He was begging for pudding (chocolate, of course) and he asked very softly "more?" She asked if he wanted it, and he nodded (cause he nods now, too) and said "more?"
Who can resist that?
He brushes his hair with the hairbrush (and sometimes the toothbrush, his sock, or a diaper). He watches me do it and then he must make his hair pretty, too.
Chunko signs "All done" when he's ready to get up after eating (or if we're trying to change his diaper and he's done waiting). We were at a restaurant and he was done eating so he signed "All done" and waited. When we didn't immediately jump to get him out, he tried again. When we still didn't move, he climbed out. He darn near broke his head in half but he still got down.
He can take off his pants by sitting on the floor and sliding backwards. He can also take off his shirts. He pulls them over his head and then whips it off.
He shrugs his shoulders and lifts his arms as if to ask "What? I don't know." He's getting quite the attitude.
He answers the phone. If you say "ring, ring" he'll pick up a phone (remote or shoe) and say "lo?"
He's officially off the formula and almost off the bottle. He couldn't care one way or the other if we took the bottle away for good but we have to buy more (non-leaking) sippy cups. Seriously, we can pretend to put people on the moon but can't make a cup not leak?!?!?!?
He's in pull-up diapers since he got too big for the size 6's. People can't believe and keep claiming their 5 year olds wear size 4's or something crazy. I get that. Geeks can fit Chunko's size 4's and he's 8... but when you end up ripping half your diapers trying to get them on, it's time to buy next size.
Three completely unrelated notes:

1. I'm still mad at Fox for making light of the devastation of the tornadoes and making one Sunday's cartoons a "tornadoes of laughs" or some disgusting tag line. Boo on their bad taste
2. Today was my first Zumba class and I think this may be what I need to get those few pounds off and keep them off. I was totally uncoordinated bu it was fun and didn't feel like exercise at all. Perfect for my lazy butt!
3. Eff you Carmax!!
