4 Months Already?!?!?

I cannot believe that our Chunko is already 4 months? Where the heck did the time go? Didn't I just give birth last month?

Chunko is such the cutey and I love him sooooo much!! He's just breezing past all the milestones and kicking their butts!
He has learned to get on all fours and rock... Now he's learned to add a leg shuffle. The only reason why he isn't zooming around our house like a mad crazy baby is because he hasn't learned that he needs to move his hands, too. We haven't showed him that part yet, and we'll let him figure it out on his own since we've already had to baby-proofed most of the house (which is very hard to do when you're moving and there is stuff EVERYWHERE). He still screams in frustration when he can't move like he wants to and I have a feeling that I'll soon be posting that he learned to crawl and hasn't stopped since. Literally from the time he wakes up, he's up on his knees trying to move.

He loves, loves, loves, loves, loves, loves, loves, loves, loves bathtime. He could be in a screaming rage and as soon as he hears the water turn on he's quiet and waiting. He doesn't care if it's a bath, swim time or even just kicking his legs in the sink, he's ready. Total water baby! His favorite game is chew on the cup (the one we use to rinse him with) and grab the water as it comes out of the faucet. He is determined to catch it one day. He wants to drink the water but hasn't learned to cup his hands (thankfully!) but he has learned to dip his hand an lick the water off of it. I don't really like taking baths with him, it's bad for my ego. He likes to float on his belly, lift up my shirt and chew on my tummy fat. I've explained to him several times that mommy's fat rolls are not chew toys, he's ignored me so far. He is teething now and he is cracked out over Orajel. It's helping so far but I am sure we'll need stronger stuff once he really gets rolling.

We've worked up to occasionally eating solid foods as a meal. We slacked off for a bit because we got too busy but he has explained to us that we either give him our food or his but a bottle will no longer suffice for dinner. He used to only eat a third or less but now he's up to more than half.... This little piggy...

He doesn't purr when he's eating a bottle as much as he used to. So sad too because it was really cute. He doesn't really favor talking (like goo goo ga ga) but more of a La la looooo la. Almost like he's singing to us. He does stare intently when we talk to him as moves his lips as we do, but no sound yet. We're okay with it because we don't really need our 6 month old yelling "More food Ma" every hour because he thinks he's starving or something.

He loves patty cake but not twinkle twinkle. He's okay with Hush little baby but not little piggy. He's very picky as to what mood's he's in.

I love his smile and the way he lights up when he sees us. I love his snuggles and especially love that he's back to sleeping through the night! He's still ramming his head and scooting all over the place but he won't keep doing it and doesn't cry when he does. You've got to take what you can, right?

My PPD has mellowed out a lot, but I think a lot of it has to do with us moving and not having to worry so much. Things are slowing down and getting into a rhythm and I'm able to adapt a little easier. I still cry on a dime but my snappish anger is less and less.
Of course don't ask my love that because I'm sure he still thinks I'm a raging b....
Oops, look at the time, got to run!!

Business Hours Only

So today our power went out at work... For 2 hours!!!
We have people coming in and we have no lights and no computers and no way to look up what needs to be looked up before they come in.
Funny enough the power came back on right as they pulled up into the drive... It's like they knew or something. Spooky.

So of course we have to call the power company to find out why we've got nada. I call four numbers all of which give me a busy signal. The main 1-800 number told me it was disconnected... and yes I dialed the number correctly (I'm not that blond).

So I finally find a phone number and call it and get the automated dude. And it went like this:
AD: Thank you for calling NV Energy, we're closed right now but if you call back between our regular business hours of 8-5 we'll be happy to assist you
Me: It's 10:15 am!! (mumbles as redialing)
AD: Thank you for calling...
Me: (Pushes "0")
AD: If you are calling regarding a power outage press "2"
Me: (Pushes "2")
AD: Enter your phone number for the location you are calling regarding
Me: (Enters)
AD: Enter your address for the location you are calling regarding
Me: (Enters)
AD: I'm sorry, that number and address do not exist
Me: Huh? Yes it does
AD: If you would like to call back during our regular business hours...
Me: No!!!!
AD: If you would like to leave a message for our emergency line then one of our representatives will call you back when they damn well please at their earliest convenience
Me: (Frantically pushing "0" to talk to a living person)
AD: Thank you, our representative will return your call during regular business hours and at their earliest convenience *click*
Me: But I didn't leave a call-back number!!!!!

So I officially hate Automated Dude.
Come to find out there was a huge blackout in this area and lots of citizens were mad and calling... Which explains the busy signal but why is it that the number I called sent me to Reno? I dialed the main number!!! Ugh!!!
Our power's back on and it's all good but really wtf?

Oh and just to add... Nothing, I mean nothing, is scarier than having to go potty in a huge, pitch black bathroom with only your weak cell phone light as a guide. My finger kept blocking the light and I'd jump thinking that some bathroom poo monster was going to eat me. Or my elbow hit the stall wall and I damn near ran out thinking that the serial killer fresh from his grave was trying to kill me... I totally need to lay off the scary movies... I am so lame

I hurt... Kiss My Boo-Boo

I hurt so bad right now. I have no clue how the heck we did it but we're moved.
(can I add that I do not want to be writing this again for at least another 3 years?)
I am so close to just throwing everything we own in the trash just so that I don't have to deal with it ever again. How did we even accumulate this much? I lived in an 800 square foot apartment, and now I need a 24 foot truck?

My love is AH-Frickin-Mazing!!! He was tireless yesterday. Loading and unloading the truck, all day, and even taking time to set the bed up. Whew!
Thank you C & B for all your help, you guys were sooo helpful!! Lifesavers!!
Thank you to my bestest for not only loaning me her Hubs but a day after she gave birth! How cool is that?!?
(Snack Cake is so cute and tiny and adorable, I totally didn't even want to hold her cause I was so scared to break her)

So we get the call on Tuesday that we'll have the keys by Thursday and that sets the pendulum flying... Okay so we have to be out of the old place by the end of this weekend, no problem... Oh wait, we have our Gabriel Iglesias show to go to... No big we'll make it work... Oh, all our big strong able bodies friends are going to be out of town... Um, scary but we can do it.... My love is leaving Sunday morning for three days... What?!?!?!

So we had Saturday to move and we had to get 'er done... And we did... Somehow.... I'm still not sure how, but I am sore today.
When I find my evil scale it better say 185 or I'm breaking it. Like Hulk smash in half kind of stuff....
We saw Gabriel on Thursday... OhEmGee!!! I don't think either of us has ever laughed so hard. We were physically worn out from laughing so much. Not only was he hysterical but his traveling guys were too. My fave was Noe Gonzalez... He's 5'2" and funny as all get out! If we get a chance to, we are so seeing him next time he's here. Totally worth it!
One of the cooler things about him was that he took pictures and joked with everyone after the show (I know everyone does, hold on, there's more) but he posted the pictures taken on his site so you could have them for free... I mean, who does that? If we weren't such old farts and about to move we would have waited for a hug and a picture... If you get a chance to see this guy... do it!!!!
I'm tired now so I'm going to go nap... Oh wait, I can't, I have to finish readying the old house for inspection and then I get to unpack the new house and I have to make dinner and I'm sure the baby wants Mommy cuddles and....AAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!!

Dear 208

Dear Stupid Neighbors in 208,
I cannot tell you how happy I am that we no longer live next to you. Your children are disrespectful, your family is ghetto and I hope that your new neighbors are as unpleasant as you are.
I pray that your kids won't get hit by a car, even though you let them play in the middle of the unlit street at 10pm in black clothing. Or that the new home owners don't call the cops on you, even though you blast your music until 2am.
Hopefully none of the 8 cars that frequent your house aren't towed away even though they park in the clearly marked "No Parking" red zone. (*cough* Drug Dealers) .
It'll be nice not going to bed every night secretly hoping the large angry pit bull on the other side would get out through the gate I opened somehow get loose and eat your children.
On the other hand, your atrocities made the other neighbor's dog seem like a dream. That and the lobotomy I think he had (never was the same after his 3 month vacation). Even when he barked at the leaf sitting in front of his gate for 5 hours straight, he was better than your children walking into my house, or the glass cups you threw in our yard (which I have kindly returned)....

So with all that, dearest neighbor....
EFF You!

Update To The Update From The Other Update

Ok... so we're moving!!!!! Yay!!!!! Finally!!!!
The house closed on Thursday (I think) and the paperwork was signed and ready for funding Friday afternoon. Of course there's a holiday weekend to sit and wait through but it looks like we'll be seeing keys before next weekend!!!!! Thank goodness! I can't wait!!
Ima Be Decorating, Ima be Moving, Ima be, Ima be, Ima be living the good life!!!

My love and I are going to go see Gabriel Iglesias (Not Fat but Fluffy comedian) to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. It's a little late but we were kind of busy at the time. It'll be so nice to go spend some quality time with him and get to be grownups for a night. I've been looking forward to this for a looonngg time. We were supposed to go see the Star Wars In Concert thing they had, but I was huge and crabby and very pregnant when they were here and so we had to miss it. It totally bummed me us him out to not go but we'll find another time.
I am currently 187... oh yeah hitting the 180s and cruising on down... oh yeah, it's your birthday, go me, go go go me!! 37 more to go before I hit my ideal weight (but that's 17 so far, so yay!!)
*Ahem*
Sorry, just a little excited.
I hung out in the closet yesterday. I miss my old clothes so bad. They're just hanging there looking so neglected. I'm so sorry Hurley t-shirt and wide flare jeans I can't slip you on like I used to. I'm doing all I can but it just takes time. I gave birth to an 11 pound baby, I am not going to snap back as quickly as I have before. I'm almost there... please still love me when it's our time together again... Just don't tell blue my tulle dress that I miss you more, ok?
This week my dad is going to help me get on track as far exercising moving more rythmatically (not a word, don't care). I am going to have to find the inspiration to drag myself out of bed crack-o-dawn, only drunks are awake this early and allow Jillian to torture me get me fit...

Had a wonderful prank call this morning... at 5:30!
How lame is that? I mean, even in my drinking and partying days 5:30 was too late for prank calls or anything other than trying to sober up so you could somehow make it to work.
Normally I'm a good sport. Take the call, laugh my butt off, turn the phone off when they get boring. No big. But this morning was way too early for me. I was up late with a sick baby and the ringing almost woke him up and if it had I would have reached through the phone and.... But it didn't so Mr. Jack N Off gets to live another day. Yep, that was the name. I will give points for finally getting a little creative but you do get some deducted for lameness. You can easily google a funnier name than that... come on... Mike Hawk, Anita Man, Al K. Holic or Ben Yankin.... but Jack N Off is lame... Boo...

I was pretty much out of it the first time they called... kind of went like this
Me: Hello?
MJNO: Bonnie? Is this Bonnie? I'm Jack N. Off
Me: No, you have the wrong number
MJNO: This isn't Bonnie? I'm sorry, I'm drunk and Jack...
Me: Nope still have the wrong number. Bye. *click*
(ten minutes later)
MJNO: I just called. I think I had the wrong number. My name is Mr. Jack N...
Me: (finally heard what he was saying) Dude, don't call this number again.
MJNO: Oh I'm sorry I'm drunk...
Me: Do not call this number again. You may think your number is on private but it shows up on my phone bill.
MJNO: Oh
*click*

Lame!!!!!! I know who you are.... Either amuse me or stop calling me.

Developmentalizing

We had our obligatory new parent urgent care visit this weekend. I was playing peek-a-boo and blowing raspberries on Chunko's tummy when a bone poked me in the face! I freaked out thinking my son had broken his sternum or that his tummy was trying to crawl out of his chest... or worse... my baby ate a spider and it nested in his ribcage and now the egg sac was about to explode with tiny little spider babies! Yeah, I watch too many movies...
I call the after hours nurse and she thinks it's a bug bite or a swelling on the outside of his body... No stupid, it's a bone inside!! Then she can't get over that he's 21 pounds and 29 inches and only 3 months old... Come on lady, I'm having a breakdown!
So after I convinced my love that our baby was dying (not really but he still let me take him) we rushed to the urgent care facility. The nurse checks him in and tells us it's probably his sternum and he's just developementalizing.... He's what? Really? Developmentalizing? (Now say it 3 times fast!)
The doctor comes in checks for hernias and ulcers. Of course Chunko refused to do the trick that made this bone stick out more prominently! She pokes him, he laughs and tries to roll over... Come to find out it's his xiphoid process. Okay fine, it's weird and we have to be careful when doing CPR on him but for the most part, he's amazingly healthy.... with a slight cold.
Chunko is growing up way too fast... He's learning something new everyday and I can't get over how smart he is!
My amazing adopted mom got Chunko this stuffed Tigger which is his absolute best friend in the world. Almost as cool as his auntie... almost. He has to have Tigger within eyesight at all times or he will have a fit. He likes to take Tigger rolling with him or sometimes he just watches TV while chewing on Tigger's toes.

Chunko holds his own bottle!!!! He grabs a hold of it and holds on and if it falls out he can put it right back in! Sometimes he gets so excited about this new trick that when we give him a bottle he'll put it in his mouth and then pull it out. He'll look at us as if asking "Am I doing this right?" and then laugh. Of course, eating can be a very serious business so that's when we get the "back off" look.

He loves sitting at the table with us during dinner time. He sits in his booster and usually tries to convince us that babies should have steak or chicken nuggets. I can't wait until he's old enough where we can give him a few scraps!! That was one of my favorite stages when Geekers was a baby.We used to strap him to the chair with a tea towel (no high chair) and hand him crackers and pretzel sticks. He would have one in each hand and two hidden in his fat rolls... I'll have to find that picture, it was too cute!!
Chunko usually gets to eat his green beans or sweet potatoes (sometimes Mommy slips him mashed potatoes, shhhh) or he'll get mad because we aren't sharing and he'll fall asleep.
Chunko has found his toes... and has decided they belong in my nose. Silly baby toes do not belong in Mommy's nose. If I won't let him sneak a toe in my nose, he'll just chew on them himself. Last night I was chewing on a foot and he was chewing on a foot and he thought that was the greatest game of them all!

Chunko has decided that he can crawl. Our new (uber awesome super duper cool as ever) babysitter has an 8 month old who's crawling and Chunko seems to think that he can, too. He gets on all fours and rocks. He'll scream and he'll yell if he doesn't go anywhere and then eventually he throws himself forward in the hopes that he's going to go flying across the room. He does not like it when Mommy and Daddy laughs at his efforts.

I'm sure next time I write he'll be racing across our new house.... Oh yeah... wait I've to tell you about that... Um.... maybe next time....
