I'm now almost 27 weeks and our little guy has officially developed his own little personality. He dances for certain music, skips for his favorite yummy foods and refuses to move unless you ask very nicely (and only if he is in a good mood). He lets me sleep through the night still, which is a huge blessing. I have gained 25 pounds, and despite an occasional pain on my left, I feel fantastic! I am thoroughly enjoying this pregnancy and all the little quirks I missed out on last time. Belly rubs are so nice and I am thankful my husband is saintly enough to oblige.
I officially have a bump buddy!!!!!!!
My girl is officially pregs and is expecting her second baby in October!!!
We're all hoping she has a girl so cross your fingers!
We didn't get the crib I wanted, it was discontinued/ sold out... but we did get an even nicer crib and it's larger with more storage space.
We didn't get the diaper bag we wanted, it also was discontinued... but after hours (upon hours upon hours) of searching, I found an even better bag and have fallen in love all over again.
While I am happy to be lucky enough to find better than expected, I will throw some serious tantrums if the stroller I love is discontinued (I don't think it will be, but just in case).
Gamma passed away and while I am weighed down by her loss I know it's for the best. She waited until all her girls were set good and taken care of to finally succumb to her ills. She fought hard and I am so proud to call her mine. She was an amazing woman who took me under her wing from the first time we met. She helped do all of our hair for prom and formal dances. She always had an ear and words of wisdom to share with any in need. I hope someday I can grow to be like her and share my love as she did.
While my girl is tending to the arrangements and grieving with her family, we have adopted her two kids for the next couple of weeks... from this I have learned that this will, for sure, be our first and only child together. Three kids running amok in the house is just insanity and I ain't doing it! Nu-uh!
My dad is healing quickly after his surgery and will not require physical therapy. If you didn't know any better, you'd have no idea that he had a serious surgery recently done on his neck. He's adjusting to living with us and we're not all walking on eggshells around each other. It's nice having him there and I know Neko loves having his Pop-Pop so close.
I've been traded to another location and have lost my weekends off (again) but I'm adjusting and hopefully this will give me a chance to learn more and to be challenged (which I need).
Since I'm in the midst of nesting (oh yeah that's fun) I'm going through every cabinet and drawer cleaning and learning where everything is. Of course at the house I have about thirty million projects all going on at once, which is just adding to my insanity. But I just can't stop!
Since my baked potatoes are officially down I'm off to chow down!
