The story begins with my sister and I switching cameras. She needed something a little more high tech for her digital photo class and I had it. I threatened her that if anything happened to my beautiful little camera, she'd die, after slow torture. Very slow torture...
I took her camera to my step-girl's birthday party and made sure to keep it in my hands at all times. We had just had another camera stolen from the same place not a month before and I wasn't taking any chances.
Long story short, Monday morning, I can't find the camera. I remember the last picture I took, I remember putting it in my purse and zipping it shut (which I never do). But I cannot remember where it is. We look, we search, we hunt. We freak. It's gone.
Now, I have the mortifying duty to call my sis and tell her that it's gone... and I'm the one that lost it. Wouldn't have been so embarrassing if I hadn't given her such a spiel about losing mine. Or if I hadn't just given the "responsibility" talk to my step-girl for losing her camera. Thankfully, we were going to be able to replace before she got back from her trip and she wouldn't mind the upgrade.
So the night before we're supposed to meet up, my love and I are out shopping cameras... Can we say procrastinators!
We found a beautiful, nicely priced camera that takes amazing shots! Angels come down from heaven and sing...
Out of stock!
I call eight stores, Eight! and none of them have it in stock!
We finally ended up racing across town at 9:30 at night to snatch up the last one at the farthest store possible.
But we got it! Yay us!!!!!!!!!
We were so proud of ourselves we had to treat ourselves to frosty's.
The next morning, I'm sitting down about to wrap up our new little gift, but I can't find tape.
As I'm looking for tape, my dad's looking for a screwdriver in the garage.
He comes in with a freaked out expression saying he found a huge surprise in one of the boxes. My love and I are thinking rabid spider, angry rattler...
My dad pulls out my sister's camera!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait, what?
I don't know how in the world it ended up in one of the boxes in the garage but it was there.
I blame preggo brain. Bad peanut! Bad peanut!
The family has officially decided that I am not to be in charge of anything.
Period.
